Jennifer Miller
Jennifer Miller was that disarming reporter you thought would go easy on you, but instead asked you the one key question you hoped to avoid. That sometimes meant she was successful at getting the subject matter experts in her story say the words they would later regret. There's not a mean bone in her body, but that's how reporters work. That real world journalism experience makes Jennifer the ideal media coach. She knows how reporters think and act.
Jennifer has more than 15 years of news reporting, including seven years at CBS News. Her time at the network took her to Capitol Hill, the North Lawn of the White House and to disasters such as the Break-up of Space Shuttle Columbia, the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and several tornadoes, wildfires and hurricanes. Throw in some anchoring and producing, and you get a good idea of the experience she brings to Rockford Gray clients.
While Jennifer works with all of Rockford Gray's clients, she has developed a media training program specifically for elected officials, government leaders, political candidates and members of the military. Jennifer's connection to the military is personal. Her husband is an officer and Blackhawk pilot in the Colorado Army National Guard and has been deployed for Operations Noble Eagle and Iraqi Freedom. Jennifer understands what it takes to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces, the level of training, and the strain often put on families.
She has a Master's in Professional Studies from the University of Denver, specializing in Organizational Leadership & Public Relations/Marketing and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Professional Journalism and French. Jennifer also serves on the board of directors for Remembering the Brave, a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring fallen service members and families.
Jennifer loves traveling, spending time on the East Coast and in the Colorado Rockies. When her schedule allows, she enjoys sitting on the patio with a good book. She also enjoys hiking, skiing, SCUBA diving and camping in the mountains.
